Igor N. Titov (born 1942) - Russian scientist biochemist and biotechnologist. Graduated in 1964 from the Faculty of Biology of the Kazakh State University (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty), specialty biochemistry and physiology of plants; Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Senior researcher (Biochemistry).

From 1965 to 1990 was engaged in scientific researches in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology and genetic engineering of especially dangerous animal viruses.

Since 1990 works in the field of agricultural and environmental biotechnology, development and implementation of technologies of recycling of municipal, agricultural and industrial organic waste by composting and vermicomposting with the aim of obtaining organic fertilizers and potting soils, as well as methods of production of liquid humic preparations on the basis of vermicomposts, biologically active substances and feed additives from the earthworms. In recent years he has been dealing with the problem of wastewater treatment using vermifiltration technology.

Author and coauthor of over 200 scientific publications, including 160 articles on the vermiculture, 5 monographs, more than 30 patents of USSR, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan on ways to produce organic fertilizer and liquid humic preparations for agrobiology (Humisol, Humistim, Vermistim, Humistar, OrganicLife, Humivermbio and BioHumEco).

Currently he is a leading Russian specialist in vermicomposting and scientific consultant on vermicomposting of organic waste, production of organic fertilizers, potting soils and liquid humic biological preparations, and the treatment of wastewater using the technology of vermifiltration of some companies in Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Oman, and Macedonia.
